Steps:

Note: Some Departments have their printers locked by code to track how printing is used in their area. Those areas have Access Codes assigned so only select individuals can print to that printer.

Your code is the same pin that you use to make copies. Not sure that you have a code? Contact your department's admin assistant.


1) Start by clicking on the "Windows" button to open the start menu and type "Printers and Scanners".

2) Click "Printing Preferences"

3) Click the "Basic" tab and click "Authentication/Account Track"

4) When the box opens type in the "Password" and leave the "Department Name" blank. You can then click "Verify" and click "OK".

5) You can now close out of all open windows and try to print your document directly from your computer and the document should print without needing to enter your code at the printer.
