Adding an Access Code for a Konica Minolta Printer on Windows 10

Body

How To:

  • Add an Access Code for a Konica Minolta Printer on Windows

Applies To:

  • Staff
  • Faculty
  • Student Employees

Steps:

Note: Some departments (ESU KC, HYPR, Athletics, Library, Music, Business 4th & 5th floors) have their copiers locked down for printing. This means a code will need to be entered in their printer preferences before they can print. This is the same code that is used for making copies. Your code is the same pin that you use to make copies. Not sure that you have a code? Contact your department's admin assistant.

1. Open the Control Panel and go to View Devices and Printers, this is located under Hardware and Sound.

2. Right-click on the Konica Minolta printer and go to Printing Preferences.

3.  Click on the Basic tab and click on Authentication/Account Track.

4. On the User Authentication/Account Track window type the code in the password box.  If it is a coded printer the page will not be grayed out. Click OK, click Apply, and then click OK. The code will save for future print jobs.
