Connect to Cisco AnyConnect (VPN) and Authenticate with the Duo App

How To:

  • Connect to Cisco AnyConnect (VPN) and Authenticate with the Duo App

Applies To:

  • Employees, Faculty, & Student Employees enrolled in Duo

Steps:

When trying to sign in to the VPN you will need to authenticate with Duo. You will not get a Duo pop-up on your computer. You can do one of 2 things:

1) Open Cisco AnyConnect and click Connect.

2) If you have the Duo App installed on your phone and get automatic pushes, log in to the VPN with your ESU username and check for a push. Once you accept you should be asked to accept the terms and then be connected to the VPN. If you did not get a push, go to step 3.

3) Open the Duo app on your mobile device. Click the HL Corky icon that says 'Duo-protected Emporia State University'  if you do not see a numeric one-time passcode.

Enter your ESU user name and your ESU password followed by a comma and the one-time passcode. Then click OK.

4) Accept the terms and you will be connected to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN.
