Signing into the VPN

How To:

  • Sign into the VPN

Applies To:

  • Staff & Faculty

Steps:

1) On Windows Go to the Start Menu, type in Cisco, and then click on the desktop app. (On a Mac look for the software in the Apps folder or search for it in the Finder)

2)  When it opens, enter: esu-vpn.emporia.edu OR esu-vpn2.emporia.edu in the box.

3)  Enter your ESU ID and password. and click OK.

4)  Your VPN connection has been connected. When off-campus, connect to the Internet first then be sure to launch the Cisco VPN so you will have a secure connection. If prompted you may be required to sign in. Be sure to disconnect from the VPN when you are on campus. You will need to authenticate with Duo when signing in. If your Duo is not set to receive an auto-push, you will not be able to log into the VPN. 

Note: You will not be able to connect when you are on campus.
