Using Version History for Microsoft Office Files saved in OneDrive or SharePoint

Steps:

1) You can see version history for Microsoft Office files saved in OneDrive and SharePoint and revert them back to other versions. You can also see who edited the files and view the document versions. Go to the document on the web version of SharePoint Drive or OneDrive and find the file name. On the right-hand side of the file name you will see 3 dots. Right click on the 3 dots and a menu will pop up. Choose Version history.

2) From this screen you can see the modified versions, who modified the file, and the date and time.

3) To view a version, hover over the date/time and a check box will come up. Click on the drop-down menu and choose View and then click Open Word. You can then see the version of the file.  To Restore the version, choose Restore from the drop-down menu.
