Uploading and Downloading Documents To and From Hornet Lab

Steps:

Uploading files to the lab desktop In the upper right corner of the browser window is and arrow up symbol. Click on it to open the file window to select the file that you would like to upload to the lab computer. Once you select your file click open at the bottom of the window.

Your file will be uploaded to the upload folder in the Lab desktop. Here’s how to get there.

1. Open the File Explorer.

2. On the left side of the File Explorer window, click “This PC”.

3. Open “Remote Desktop Virtual Drive” by double clicking.

4. The file that you uploaded should be accessible within the “Uploads” folder.


Downloading files to the lab desktop

1. Open the File Explorer.

2. On the left side of the window, click “This PC”.

3. Open “Remote Desktop Virtual Drive” by double clicking.

4. Open the Downloads folder, then copy and paste or drag and drop files you would like to download from the remote desktop to your local computer. You may receive the notice below. Click “Confirm” to download the files to your local computer.

5. The file will be downloaded to your local computer’s downloads folder.
