How To:
- Install Microsoft Office for home/personal Use
Applies To:
- Current faculty, staff, and students
Steps:
ESU students, faculty, and staff may download Microsoft Office on their personal computers and devices (up to 5). There is no cost.
- Go to hornet365.com and choose your role, Student, Faculty, or Employee

- Click the Downloads icon, then click Get Microsoft Office.



- On the page it brings you to, click “Get Microsoft office”

4. Log in with the username@emporia.edu format (For students, omit the g. that is in your email address)
5. Click the “Install Office” button

6. After that there will be a OfficeSetup.exe that is sent to your downloads folder. Opening that file will start the installation of Microsoft Office onto your device.
When Office is installed, it should license automatically and you don't need to do anything. If you are prompted to license it, enter youruserid@emporia.edu and your password
Students and Staff also have access to all of the Office365 Web apps.
STUDENTS:
Be sure to leave the g. out of your user name/email to be able to sign into Microsoft.
