Install Office for Home Use

How To:

  • Install Microsoft Office for home/personal Use

Applies To:

  • Current faculty, staff, and students


ESU students, faculty, and staff may download Microsoft Office on their personal computers and devices (up to 5). There is no cost.

  1. Go to and choose your role, Student, Faculty, or Employee
  2. Click the Downloads icon, then click Get Microsoft Office.
  3. Follow the prompts to download and run the installer.

When Office is installed, it should license automatically and you don't need to do anything. If you are prompted to license it, enter and your password

Students and Staff also have access to all of the Office365 Web apps.


Be sure to leave the g. out of your user name/email to be able to sign into Microsoft.
