  • Staff, Faculty or Students that are syncing OneDrive to their computer

Steps:

OneDrive Files On-Demand helps you access all your files in OneDrive without having to download all of them and use storage space on your device. Files On-Demand can be used for Windows or for Mac. You will need Windows 10 with the latest updates or Mac OS Mojave 10.14 or greater to use Files on Demand.

How to check if Files On-Demand is selected on Windows 10

  1. First, make sure you are signed in to OneDrive and that it is running.
  2. Right-click on the OneDrive cloud icon in the system tray (by the time) and choose Settings.
  3. Click on the settings tab and make sure the Files On-Demand box is checked and click ok.
  4. If you do not see the Files on Demand section, please call the help desk so we can help you update your computer.
