IT Maintenance + Service Outages

Banner maintenance scheduled for Saturday was completed ahead of time on Friday. No further outages are expected this weekend.

Beginning at 5:00 PM Friday, January 7, 2022,  IT technicians will be performing maintenance to our Banner environment.  During this time most Banner services will not be available. These services include:

  • Banner Admin pages
  • SelfService Banner (SSB)
  • DegreeWorks
  • OnBase
  • Cognos
  • Timeclocks
  • TouchNet
  • eTranscripts
  • CRM Recruit
  • Emperson8r

IT has identified an issue with Duo 2-factor authentication and an out-of-date Chrome browser version.  If you are having trouble with Duo, or are being prompted for Duo, even if you have never used Duo, you may need to update Chrome.  To do this, click the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of the browser window, select Help, then Select About Google Chrome.  If outdated, Chrome will automatically update from this page.  You will then need to close and re-open the browser window.

IT will take advantage of no scheduled classes and days that the campus is closed during winter break, to perform much needed maintenance and testing.  The work will require the university to be shut off from any internet traffic.  During these times, NO access will be available to any university systems, either on premise or in the cloud.

Amazon Web Services are down and this is causing slowness issues with Canvas, and also issues with the Respondus lockdown browser.
